In a new official trailer, fans spotted what looks like an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper (ODST) landing on a rain-soaked battlefield, complete with the familiar Halo 3: ODST soundtrack in the background. This tease has sparked excitement among both Helldivers and Halo fans as the game becomes the first Sony published title to arrive on a Microsoft console with full crossplay confirmed for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

The trailer’s final moments are unmistakably ODST themed, with a drop pod sequence that mirrors the iconic Halo 3: ODST intro. While Arrowhead Studios has not officially confirmed the collaboration, the visual and audio cues strongly suggest that players will soon be able to suit up as an ODST in Helldivers 2.
Released in 2009 for the Xbox 360, Halo 3: ODST put players in the role of an elite Orbital Drop Shock Trooper during the events surrounding Halo 2. Unlike the superhuman Master Chief, ODSTs are highly trained human soldiers powerful but grounded in more tactical combat.
